Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking part‑time research evaluators to support dementia care projects in assisted living settings. You will assist with on‑site recruitment, consent, data collection and entry across multiple central PA sites, with travel as needed.

Position requires in‑person work during spring–fall 2025, COVID‑19 vaccination, and training in human subjects research. Prior healthcare or elder care experience is a plus; compensation is $16.00–$20.00 per hour depending on

• Complete COVID‑19 vaccination at least 2 weeks prior to employment as required by clinical research sites.
• Be able to work in person at several clinical research sites in central PA including but not limited to State College, Harrisburg, Hershey, and nearby locations.
• Be available for on‑site data collection and other research activities during the spring, summer and fall of 2025.
• Complete human subject research training as directed.
• Be able to collaborate with the PI and research team to meet project deadlines.
• Be able to work independently to keep the project on track.
• Preference may be given to individuals with experience in healthcare or related field, experience with older adults with cognitive impairment or in long‑term care settings, and prior research experience (e.g., data collection and management).

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The research team at Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing is hiring part‑time research evaluators for projects focused on dementia care in assisted living settings.

The research evaluator will assist with in‑person recruitment, consent, data collection, and data entry along with other duties. The on‑site recruitment and data collection activities are projected to begin in early 2025 and continue through Fall of 2025. The research evaluator will need to travel to study sites located around State College, Harrisburg, Hershey, and other nearby locations as needed.
