Meijer Great Lakes in Owosso, MI is seeking a Food Clerk to join our Fresh departments. You will create a welcoming store experience by assisting customers, sharing product knowledge, stocking displays, and keeping the store clean and organized.

You will work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery, learn our POS system, and follow safety procedures. The role is a fast-paced, physical retail position in a bustling grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail preferred.
• Ability to use a POS system and handle transactions.
• Comfort with lifting and standing for extended periods.

Responsabilités

• Assist customers and answer questions in a friendly manner.
• Maintain fresh, attractive product displays across departments.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise products according to standards.
• Operate POS system and process transactions accurately.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
