Job Description

This is a part-time position. The primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop.

Responsibilities include preparing, processing, packaging, and stocking products according to Fresh Foods Standards. Additionally, you will provide customer service, clean work areas, unload stock, and reload salvage products according to standards.

Skills and Qualifications

• Personal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, willingness to participate in and complete training, and ability to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, memos, and correspondence in English. Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, using units of American money and weight measurement.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions, and deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
• Certificates and Licenses: Completion of company training including orientation, food sanitation, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.

Physical Demands

The physical demands include standing, walking, using hands, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Must regularly lift up to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, and reach from 6 to 72 inches. Vision abilities include close, color, and depth perception.
