Job summary

Cub Shorewood on Highway 7 is seeking a Part Time Deli Clerk to join the team. You will help prepare and display meats, salads, and prepared foods to our department standards, combining friendly customer service with attention to detail to ensure safe, high-quality products for customers.

This role involves assisting with food prep, stocking deli cases, receiving product, and maintaining cleanliness while following store policies.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods.
• Strong reading, writing and math skills.

Cub Shorewood on Highway 7 is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a Part Time Deli Clerk position! Deli team members at Cub prepare and finish products, such as meats, salads, and prepared foods to department standards for placement in deli case for customer selection. This position combines customer service and attention to detail to provide customers with safe,reliableand consistentproduct.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assists with food preparation.
• Provides customers with accurate, prompt and courteous service.
• Sets, fills and rotates deli cases and displays.
• Assists in receiving of product.
• Breaks down department and performs cleaning duties.
• Follows all store and department policies and procedures.

JobRequirements:

• Equipment operation (compactor, coffee pot, pallet jack, highboy cart, box cutter, tongs, scales, Cry-O-Vac machine, steamer, slicer, wrapper, knives, chicken fryer, chicken hot case, food processor, pizza oven).
• Able to walk long distances and stand forlong periodsoftime.
• Memorization, reading, writing andmath.
• The position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous andaccurateservice.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
• Have the ability tounderstand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights,weekendsand holidays.
• Must be 18 years of age and older.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting/carrying up to60 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling up to50 lbs.
• Walking on uneven ground.
• Reaching, bending, repetitive motions.
• Exposure to hot equipment and cooking oil.
