Bergen County Special Services School District invites applications for a part-time Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is located at Sound Solutions in Bergen County.

Required: NJDOE certificate as Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (Oral/Aural) and NJ elementary education endorsement. Preferred: AVT techniques, sign language, and experience with hearing-impaired students. Residency in NJ within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Possess a New Jersey DOE certificate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing: Oral/Aural communication.
• An New Jersey DOE elementary education endorsement - required.
• Knowledge of AVT techniques and sign language communication - preferred.
• Background working with hearing impaired students - preferred.
• New Jersey residence within one (1) year from date of hire.
