Job summary

SpartanNash, doing business as Family Fare stores, is seeking a part-time daytime Stock Associate in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves stocking, merchandising, receiving, and maintaining back room organization while adhering to safety and food-handling guidelines.

You will support store operations, rotate stock, and ensure products are correctly displayed and available to customers. Prior retail experience and basic math skills are helpful for success in this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• Retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, unloading, and stacking merchandise in the back room.
• Properly fill, rotate and merchandise shelves, cases and displays on sales floor.
• Notify the manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Have familiarity with all products carried in the departments and know the product locations in the store.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per established guidelines.
• Maintain clean, attractive and well stocked departments.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
