The Earth & Geographic Sciences Department encompasses thedisciplines of Environmental and Earth Science, Geographic Science,Physics, and Public Health. The department is acceptingapplications from qualified experts to teach courses in public health, and is particularly seeking applicants to teach PublicHealth Strategies in Fall 2023.
All part time faculty are responsible for providing our studentswith a high quality learning environment, while utilizing theirfocused expertise and experience in their individual classroom,laboratories and studios.
Membership to the Fitchburg State University part time adjunctfaculty pool is open to qualified and competent experts, externalto the Fitchburg State University faculty, who possess skills,education, and experience in academic and/or professionalareas.
Fitchburg State University has created an "Open Pool" vacancyannouncement for part time day and evening adjunct faculty bydiscipline. Respondents to this announcement would be expected toteach undergraduate Public Health courses for majors and minors.The department chair will review applications submitted when thereis a specific need for part time adjunct to fill a course scheduledin the academic year for both the day and/or evening classes.
The application process will require that applicants designatetheir preference for teaching in the day, evening or both. Pleaseattach a letter of interest and resume when applying for any parttime teaching position.
Applications submitted will be maintained from July 1st throughJune 30th for each academic year. At the conclusion of the academicyear the pool will be refreshed and applicants will be required toreapply. Applications selected to be maintained in the pool willremain active for a three year period.
