John Deere is seeking a Part-Time Student to contribute to Data Science and Analytics initiatives in Urbandale, IA or Austin, TX. This onsite role runs year‑round and supports data‑driven decision making for product teams and internal customers.

You will ingest and analyze data, build pipelines, and help develop algorithms, dashboards, and GenAI‑enabled workflows while balancing school commitments and work responsibilities in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate‑level academic experience preferred, including current enrollment in a Master’s or PhD program in Data Science; others may apply.
• Graduation date of Spring 2027 or later.
• Available to work during the academic year (16‑20 hours weekly).
• Available to work during the summer semester (30‑40 hours weekly).
• Must be registered as a full‑time student at a U.S./local accredited university/college.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Must be able to commute to the Urbandale, IA or Austin, TX location daily.

Responsibilities

• Explore analytical problems and develop data‑driven solutions using data science techniques.
• Ingest, clean, transform, and prepare data for models, dashboards, and analytics.
• Build analysis tools, data pipelines, and visualizations to accelerate insight generation.
• Support development and evaluation of ML models and GenAI workflows.
• Research new analytics methodologies with cross‑functional teams.
• Apply data science techniques to product lifecycle problems.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate in a cross‑functional environment with curiosity and quality.
