Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking adjunct or part-time faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate courses for a specified semester. These positions are temporary and do not accrue benefits.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or master’s degree in the teaching discipline or master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
• Graduate-level qualifications as described for teaching graduate courses.
• UNC Charlotte considers related work experiences, licensure, and demonstrated teaching effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and/or update course syllabi, prepare lectures, and design assignments and projects.
• Meet all designated class periods and maintain regular office hours.
• Grade student assignments and exams promptly and submit mid-semester progress reports and final grades.
