Job summary

Village of Orland Park is seeking a part-time Dance Instructor to teach youth dance classes for ages 3 to 18. The ideal candidate is energetic, positive, and enjoys working with children and young adults.

The role includes inspecting the studio, taking attendance, and fostering motor skills and body awareness through movement. Sessions are approximately 15 hours per week with flexible scheduling based on programming and may require subbing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Two years of dance experience required.
• Prior experience performing with a professional dance company is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Part‑Time Dance Instructor to teach youth dance classes to enrollees from age 3 to 18. The ideal candidate must be positive, high energy, upbeat, enjoy dance and love working with children/young adults of all ages.

This position is responsible for checking the facility and equipment before each class begins, taking attendance and developing motor skills, fundamental coordination and body awareness through song and dance.

Attending quarterly staff meetings is also important to this role.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

A High School Diploma is preferred. Two years of previous experience in dance is required. Prior experience performing with a professional dance company is a plus.

This position is scheduled approximately 15 hours per week. Days/hours are based on programming schedule and may be asked to sub if necessary.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly pay rate is $28.46 - $37.95, depending on experience and qualifications.

Anticipated starting salary is $28.46 per hour.
