Job summary

Graybar Electric Company, Inc. in Albany, NY, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be a key contact for customers, entering orders, handling requests, and providing timely, courteous support.

You will interact with customers on inbound calls, assist with product selection, and coordinate service requests including pricing, expediting, billing and credits. Shift is Mon–Fri, 9:00am–1:00pm, starting at $22.00/hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required.
• 2/4 year degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders and handle customer requests in a timely, professional manner.
• Interact with customers on calls and written correspondence.
• Sell Graybar goods and services on inbound calls.
• Provide product selection and application support.
• Coordinate order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, and credits.

Job description

Are you ready? As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a key contact and liaison for customers to ensure their total satisfaction. You will interact with customers on an ongoing basis, entering orders, handling requests and providing support needed in a timely, professional and courteous manner.

In this role you will:

• Ensure every customer experience is top notch in quality
• Handle incoming and outgoing customer calls and written correspondence in a professional, timely manner, ensuring follow up on all customer issues
• Take an active role in selling Graybar goods and services on inbound calls
• Provide support on product selection and application
• Coordinate customer service requests including order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, order maintenance, credit and claims

Skills & Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to handle a variety of customer situations with enthusiasm and tact
• Some retail or counter sales experience preferred
• High School education
• 2 year or 4 year degree preferred

Work Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 1:00pm

Compensation Details: The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $22.00 per hour depending on experience.
