Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience in our South Charleston, West Virginia store. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help with stock and store upkeep.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior customer service experience. You will contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming store environment while performing additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while operating cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain clean, safe, and respectful store environment with professional interactions.
• Clean and restock bathrooms, sweep/mop floors, take out trash, and keep areas neat.
