River Valley Co-op Northampton, MA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Team Member to greet shoppers in our physical and online stores and process orders accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities include handling POS transactions, applying discounts, remembering PLU numbers, ensuring cash drawer accuracy, and providing helpful information about co-op ownership and specials. The role emphasizes friendly service, safety, and teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Create a welcoming environment for shoppers and community members.
• Process purchases at registers and online cart, applying discounts and tenders.
• Memorize PLU numbers and learn correct home department for products.
• Maintain cash drawer accuracy and handle tenders.
• Package purchases with care and follow food safety guidelines.
• Provide carry-out service and maintain parking lot safety.
• Assist with web cart orders and respond to calls until needs are met.
• Be familiar with co-op ownership benefits and explain them to customers.
• Participate in ownership drives and communicate events to shoppers.
• Maintain stock levels and assist in various store projects.
