Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in Conroe, TX is seeking a Team Leader responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience at the front end, promoting loyalty programs, and leading a team of Associates.

You will train and coach staff, assign registers, coordinate breaks, respond to POS coverage needs, and ensure adherence to labor laws and store policies. This role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and multi-tasking with a service-driven mindset, starting at $14.00–$14.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking and adapting to changing directions.

Responsibilities

• Promote an excellent customer experience and oversee front-of-store associates.
• Lead by example, train and mentor Associates on front-end principles and loyalty programs.
• Assign registers, support POS coverage, coordinate breaks, and ensure tasks align with store plan.
• Address customer concerns promptly and maintain a safe, organized store.

• Oversees a team of Associates at front of store ensuring prompt, courteous customer service and promotion of loyalty programs.


• Leads by example by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.


• Role models outstanding customer service.


• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience


• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality


• Takes an active role in training and mentoring Associates on front end principles


• Trains and coaches Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs


• Assigns registers, supports and responds to POS coverage needs, and coordinates breaks for all Associates


• Addresses customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience


• Ensures Associates execute tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritizes as needed


• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates


• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback


• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness


• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures


• Promotes credit and loyalty programs


• Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs


• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment


• Other duties as assigned

This position has a starting pay range of USD $14.00 to $14.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
