Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking a Part Time Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas. The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and safety, with duties including daily cleaning tasks, hazardous waste handling, and operating cleaning equipment.

A flexible candidate who can work Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00am to 6:30pm is preferred. Compensation ranges from $15.50 to $16.50 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• May require a valid driver’s license.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with team.
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals and their safe use.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Handle hazardous waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Work in a team with other employees.
• Follow all protocols and company policies.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

Responsibilities
