Job summary

Wabasha-Kellogg School District in Minnesota is seeking a part-time custodian to maintain clean and safe facilities. The shift runs 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on weekdays, with some weekend coverage and longer months.

Responsibilities include cleaning, painting, moving furniture, mowing outside, and handling basic maintenance tasks. Preferred candidates have custodial experience and a cooperative, self-motivated approach, capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial, cleaning and general maintenance including HVAC, boilers, plumbing, electrical.
• Experience with outside work including mowing, trimming, general maintenance of equipment, and other outside related tasks.
• Motivated, independent, and eager to finish tasks.
• Works well both independently and as a team member.

The Wabasha-Kellogg School Districtis seeking a qualified individual to fill a part-time custodian position with approximate weekday hours of 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. This is a 9-12 month position, with some weekend shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

The rural district has an outstanding and supportive culture and is located within the bluffs of the Mississippi River Valley. Our elementary school was recognized as a Minnesota School of Excellence in 2025. In 2023, the community supported a $16.2 million dollar referendum for facility improvements and renovations. Renovations began in the summer of 2025, and are nearing completion.
