Job summary

Campus Services Group (CSG) is seeking a dedicated School Custodian to maintain a clean and safe environment within our facilities in Charleston. This part-time role involves working with staff and students to meet high cleanliness standards and respond to daily needs.

You will perform janitorial tasks, follow safety guidelines, and complete assignments on schedule. The position requires reliability for Mon-Fri evenings and the ability to stand and walk for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience in custodial/janitorial work in a school setting (preferred).
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Will ing ness to perform routine tasks consistently.
• Must be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts.
• Able to stand and walk 6-8 hours daily.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks within assigned areas to meet quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Use protective gear during all cleaning functions.
• Complete cleaning assignments on schedule.
• Report equipment and cleaning product needs or malfunctions to supervisors.
• Dust mop and damp mop floors in classrooms and common spaces.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, classrooms, and common areas.
• Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and perform related duties.
• Respond promptly to paging system alerts and customer requests.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.

• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by state, local, and/or customers.


• Must provide a criminal background check.
