Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders with speed and accuracy at our Kansas store. You will welcome customers, confirm orders, and ensure a smooth pickup experience from start to finish.

We value a service mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new technologies. A high school diploma and at least 1 year in retail or cashier roles help you hit the ground running.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly attitude (in person and on the phone) and respond to questions and needs.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members across the store and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items throughout the store, scan/verify products, and bag items appropriately.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As a Digital Clerk, you’ll help drive customer loyalty and satisfaction by shopping their orders quickly and accurately, creating an easy pickup experience from start to finish.

You’ll:

• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly attitude (in person and on the phone) and respond to questions and needs

• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred
• Past cashier experience preferred
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures in an efficient, consistent way
• Past online ordering experience a plus
• You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods
