Job summary

Majestic Care of McCordsville is seeking a part-time Culinary Aide to support Nutrition Services under supervision of the Director of Nutrition and Food Services. The role serves meals to residents, assists with food preparation, and supports sanitation and safety policies in daily operations.

Ideal candidates have general education and prefer experience in food service; must work on schedule with residents and participate in activities and events.

Qualifications

• General education.
• Experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dish machine and various food service equipment.
• Assist with tray line assembly and restorative dining programs.
• Food preparation as assigned.
• Clean the dish machine area and de-lime dish machine.
• Store clean equipment and utensils.
• Assist in maintaining preparation and service area in sanitary condition.
• Assist in putting away stock.
• Deliver food carts to resident meal service location areas.
• Maintain effective communication with residents, families and community staff.
• Must adhere to strict guidelines for serving times.
• Set up dish machine area, check temperatures and check soap dispensing levels.
• Scrape, pre-wash and stack soiled dishes.
