Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group seeks CRNAs to provide full-scope anesthesia care within a major health system. You will participate in perioperative management, airway control, and patient monitoring, with duties defined by clinical privileges and safety standards.

Qualifications

Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.

Responsibilities

Clinical responsibilities of the CRNA are delineated by his or her clinical privileges.
Assist with collecting, reviewing, and evaluating data for the patient’s medical and surgical history.
Maintain a safe environment and respond to emergencies and safety hazards.
Prepare and administer medications and fluids per safe practice standards.
Monitor airway, anesthesia depth, fluid status, and physiologic response to anesthesia.
Complete required documentation: surgical safety checklist, pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anesthetic record, transfer-of-care note.
Log incident reporting in the Safety Portal.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Function

Clinical responsibilities of the CRNA are delineated by his or her clinical privileges.
Assists with collecting, reviewing, and evaluating all data pertinent to the patient‘s medical and surgical history, with consideration of the planned procedure.
Maintains a safe environment and responds appropriately to emergencies and safety hazards.
Prepares and administers medications and fluids in accordance with accepted standards of safe practice.
Supports with maintaining constant vigilance with ongoing assessment of airway, depth of anesthesia, fluids status, and physiologic response to anesthesia to ensure patient safety.
Helps complete all required documentation: the surgical safety checklist, the pre-operative assessment, the intra-operative anesthetic record, and the transfer-of-care note.
Logs incident reporting in the computerized Safety Portal.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
