Job summary

Chamberlain University seeks a Complex Adult Health/ Critical Care Clinical Faculty (part-time) for the BSN program. Teaching occurs onsite in a clinical setting with rotations typical of 12-hour shifts (7a-7p) for three to four consecutive days.

The role requires a Master's or Doctoral in Nursing, an active Delaware RN license, and at least two years of RN instruction experience. Illinois licensure may be required for certain courses, with priority given to licensed Illinois faculty.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Delaware.
• At least two years of instruction as an RN within the last five years.
• Teaching or precepting experience preferred but not required.
• Passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
• Illinois RN license required to teach all courses (priority for licensed in Illinois).

Responsibilities

• Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
• Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of teaching assignments.
• Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
• Evaluate and provide feedback on student performance based on course objectives.
• Be available for remediation of students as required or needed.
• Remain current with agency/clinical policies and expectations.
• Develop and post written clinical assignments aligned with student knowledge and skills.
• Grade homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner.
• May teach didactic content under supervision of the course coordinator.
• Keep course coordinator informed of student and agency issues.
• Report to the dean or assistant dean; course coordinator provides direct oversight.
