Job summary

Australia-Employment is seeking a part-time CPA for tax season in Rolling Meadows, IL. You will build your own hours and provide expert tax planning and preparation for clients, including corporations, S corps, and individuals, on a hybrid schedule.

This role requires CPA certification and at least five years of tax experience. You will stay current on tax laws, leverage tax software, and deliver high-quality service while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.

Qualifications

• CPA certification required; active status preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of tax accounting experience.
• Experience with corporations, S corps, and individuals.
• Strong knowledge of tax planning, preparation, income tax, audit and tax, and corporate returns.
• Proficiency with tax preparation and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert tax planning and preparation for corporations, S corps, and individuals.
• Review income tax returns to identify issues and optimize strategies.
• Manage IRS income tax audits and respond to inquiries.
• Prepare corporate tax returns with accurate reporting.
• Offer tax planning advice to optimize client positions.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients to understand business operations and tailor solutions.
• Develop and implement tax strategies and policies aligned with goals.
