Job summary

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Part-Time Courier to transport blood and products to and from LifeSouth branches and customers. You will prepare items for shipment, verify records, and maintain documentation for incoming and outgoing materials. Available shifts: Monday through Friday, 6pm–10pm. The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and flexibility for nights, weekends, and on-call hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license; LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule, including some night, weekend and on-call hours.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, proportions, percentages).
• Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 70 pounds, grasping and repetitive motion; occasional stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, climbing, overhead lifting.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect delivery vehicle daily to ensure supplies are present, clean, in proper operating condition, and in compliance with state and local laws.
• Package and deliver blood products to service area clients or other transportation agencies.
• Collect blood products from mobile drawing sites or area clients and deliver to components laboratory.
• Run errands, deliver documents, pick up supplies and transport small items for repair.
• Load/unload and deliver materials to and from the branch and customers.
• Operate hand truck to move shipments.

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Part-Time Courier in Jacksonville, FL. This position is responsible for transporting blood and blood products to and from customers and other LifeSouth branches. This position is also responsible for preparing items for shipment, verifying, and keeping records on incoming and outgoing materials.

• Available Shifts: Monday through Friday, 6pm-10pm**

Position Details
