OPEN Healthcare US is seeking Part-time Courier Drivers to join the Client Services team in California. You will pick up and deliver medical specimens, maintain chain of custody, and log deliveries with care and accuracy.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, own reliable car, and familiarity with GPS/routing apps. Shifts are 4–6 hours daily, Mon–Fri or Sat options, with mileage reimbursement and cellphone allowance details provided.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking Part-time Courier Driver(s) to join the Client Services team. They will work part-time shifts of 4 to 6 hours per day, and we are willing to work with you on the number of days that work for both you and the company. This role is ideal for someone passionate about accurate and timely delivery of specimens and providing excellent support to healthcare providers. As our Courier Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring that laboratory specimens are safely and efficiently transported between healthcare facilities and our laboratory, maintaining chain of custody, and supporting the overall success of our lab operations.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pick up and deliver medical specimens, laboratory samples, and related materials between healthcare facilities, laboratories, and clients.
• Ensure proper handling, packaging, and labeling of all specimens to maintain chain of custody and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, electronic records, and documentation.
• Communicate with laboratory staff, healthcare providers, and clients regarding specimen status and delivery schedules.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness to ensure safety and compliance.
• Report any issues, delays, or discrepancies in delivery to the supervisor promptly.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must have their own vehicle in good working condition and be open to driving their own car for conducting company business.
• Must present proof of vehicle insurance.
• Proficient in using GPS, routing apps, and mobile communication devices for route management.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

LICENSE & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• CA Driver’s License
• Auto Insurance
• Own vehicle (we reimburse the mileage per mile)
• Cell phone (we provide monthly cell phone allowance)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ideally residing close to Los Angeles and/or Orange County
• Prior experience in courier, delivery, or transportation experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with handling biological samples, medical specimens, and maintaining chain of custody.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple delivery routes efficiently.
• Familiarity with local traffic patterns and route optimization strategies.

SCHEDULE

• Part-Time (Monday through Friday: 2pm to 7pm; 4 to 5 hours per day; may not exceed 28 hours per week).
• We are willing to work with you on the number of days that work for both you and the company.
• Must be required to work one or both of the following shifts: the 3 pm to 9 pm on Mondays through Fridays OR 7 am to 12 pm on Saturdays.

Open Healthcare US. offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The reasonable estimated salary for this role ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate's education, skills, qualifications, and related work experience.
