Job summary

Northern Kentucky University’s Counseling Program invites applications to join the adjunct faculty pool for in-person graduate courses in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. Courses include knowledge- and skills-based topics as well as clinical supervision, such as practicum and internship.

Course assignments depend on program needs and candidate qualifications. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis; being in the pool does not guarantee a teaching assignment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in counseling, preferably CACREP-aligned.
• Current or valid professional licensure relevant to counseling specialty.
• Demonstrated ability to support graduate-level learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned graduate counseling courses in alignment with CACREP standards.
• Foster student learning through effective instruction, engagement, and assessment.
• Assess student achievement of course and CACREP outcomes.
• Maintain communication with students and faculty.
• Provide in-person office hours and be reasonably available to enrolled students.
• Provide clinical supervision for practicum/internship as required.
