Job summary

A leading rehabilitation services provider in Falfurrias, Texas, is seeking a Licensed Physician to provide care for detainees/inmates. The successful candidate will examine and treat patients, manage medical program activities, and provide education to promote good health. A Medical degree, licensure, and experience are required. The role includes 24-hour availability for staff support and requires strong diagnostic and communication skills. This position is a 1099 contract working 16 hours a week.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a medical or osteopathic physician in Texas.
• Two years of direct work experience as a Licensed Physician preferred.
• Completion of a U.S.-based residency program required.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat detainees/inmates referred by nursing/professional staff.
• Manage medical program activities based on industry standards.
• Prescribe medications and review cases needing ongoing attention.
• Provide health education to patients to prevent disease.
