Job summary

Licensure as a Registered Nurse and at least one year of professional nursing experience are required to provide competent care to inmates.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Document patient health status, changes in condition, and medications administered.
• Prepare nursing care plans and confer with health professionals to set goals.
• Coordinate health services, conduct sick calls, and obtain orders for treatment.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Perform physical assessments and assist with testing; collect lab samples as ordered.
• Provide CPR and first aid as needed to stabilize patients.
• Maintain hygienic treatment areas; stock supplies in medical rooms.
• Provide patient education and train staff on health-related topics.
• Supervise inmates in the infirmary and assist with team responsibilities.
