Qualifications

Must possess a high school education or equivalent (at a minimum).
One (1) year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred (but not necessary).
Must have a sanitation certificate.
Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
Must be knowledgeable of dietary procedures.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assist with breakfast, lunch, and dinner for residents.
Follow verbal and written instructions and dietary restrictions for residents.
Provide alternatives for residents with specific dietary needs.
Maintain sanitary food preparation areas and follow hygiene practices.
Communicate effectively with residents and team members; maintain confidentiality and a professional appearance.
