Job summary

Blacksmith-Fork-Assisted-Living-1 is seeking a Cook to assist and prepare meals for residents in an assisted living and Memory Care community. You will work with the dietary manager, assist in kitchen operations, and deliver meals to residents' rooms as needed.

The role requires a valid Food Handler's Permit, strong communication with residents and families, and a caring, proactive service attitude. Schedule includes Wed 7a-2p and Sat-Sun 7a-2p in a on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Food Handler's Permit.
• Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and associates.
• Must provide written proof of TB test or obtain within two weeks of hire.
• Must be positive and deliver a WOW experience through service.
• Cooperate with supervisors and assist co-workers.
• Willingness to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food according to menu in a sanitary manner under supervision.
• Maintains kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Cooks meals for residents in an assisted living/memory care setting; maintains cleanliness.
• Follows sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
• Delivers food to residents' rooms and assists with kitchen/setup tasks.
• Organizes weekly orders and keeps kitchen orderly.
