Your Role

As Cook at our residential treatment facility, you'll prepare delicious, nutritious meals that fuel healing and recovery while creating positive dining experiences for our residents, guests, and team members in our therapeutic community.

You\'ll Make an Impact By
  • Preparing delicious and nutritious meals for residents, guests, and team members daily
  • Creating therapeutic and specialized diet meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Maintaining exceptional food quality, presentation, and safety standards per state regulations and company policies
  • Overseeing planning, preparation, and delivery of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special event services
  • Following planned menus and recipes while ensuring meals meet Wave International standards
  • Adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines in a healthcare environment
  • Managing kitchen inventory and assisting with supply ordering and organization
  • Providing excellent customer service through positive interactions with residents and staff
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and efficient kitchen workspace
  • Supporting the healing environment through compassionate food service

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred
  • Experience in production cooking and/or preparing therapeutic diets strongly preferred
  • Current food handling and sanitation licenses/certifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to follow complex recipes and accommodate diverse dietary restrictions
  • Basic computer skills with entry-level proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and independent decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills and positive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Passion for serving others and supporting recovery through nutrition
