Job summary

KIPP Indy Public Schools is seeking a Part-Time Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students across KIPP Indy campuses. This on-site role focuses on delivering direct services, IEP-driven goals, and collaboration with teachers and families.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, Indiana licensure or eligibility, and preferably CCC-SLP. Familiarity with school-based processes and caseload management across multiple campuses is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
• Current Indiana SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• CCC-SLP preferred, but not required.
• School-based or pediatric SLP experience preferred.
• Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring IEP goals.
• Knowledge of special education processes, evaluations, eligibility, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage a caseload and competing priorities across multiple campuses.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently while partnering with school-based teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct individual and small-group speech and language services aligned to students’ IEP goals and identified communication needs.
• Plan and deliver evidence-based speech and language interventions supporting access to academic instruction.
• Manage an assigned caseload, scheduling, progress monitoring, evaluations, documentation, and team communication.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data.
• Complete IEP progress reports and contribute to related goals and accommodations.
• Participate in IEP and Case Conference Committee meetings and communicate progress with families.
• Conduct speech-language evaluations and reevaluations, interpret results, contribute to eligibility decisions.
• Collaborate with teachers, leaders, families, and other providers to support goals.
• Embed communication strategies and supports into daily instruction.
• Provide consultation and resources to teachers and staff.
• Maintain timely documentation in accordance with IEPs and district requirements.

• Approximately 25–28 hours per week, typically spread across 3–4 days
• Fully onsite across KIPP Indy campuses

• Scheduled hours include direct services, documentation, IEP/Case Conference meetings, evaluations, progress monitoring, and collaboration with school teams

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct individual and small-group speech and language services aligned to students’ IEP goals and identified communication needs.
• Plan and deliver evidence-based speech and language interventions that support students’ access to academic instruction and the broader school community.
• Manage an assigned caseload, including service scheduling, progress monitoring, evaluations, documentation, and communication with relevant team members.
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate service documentation and data, and adjust interventions based on student needs and progress.
• Complete IEP progress reports and contribute to Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance, measurable annual goals, accommodations, and service recommendations related to students’ speech and language needs.
• Participate in IEP and Case Conference Committee meetings and communicate student progress, needs, and recommendations with families and school-based teams.
• Conduct speech-language evaluations and reevaluations, interpret assessment results, and contribute to eligibility and service-delivery decisions, as applicable.
• Collaborate with Teachers of Record, general education teachers, school leaders, families, and other service providers to ensure speech and language services support students’ broader academic and developmental goals.
• Partner with classroom teams to embed communication strategies, accommodations, and supports into daily instruction to increase student access, participation, and independence.
• Provide consultation, strategies, and resources to teachers and staff related to students’ speech, language, and communication needs.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with students’ IEPs, special education requirements, and KIPP Indy procedures.

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or another qualifying field
• Current Indiana Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain Indiana licensure prior to beginning services
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but not required
• School-based or pediatric speech-language pathology experience preferred
• Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring IEP goals
• Knowledge of special education processes, evaluations, eligibility determination, and compliance requirements
• Ability to effectively manage a caseload and competing priorities across multiple school campuses
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently while partnering closely with school-based and Diverse Learners teams

Salary: $60–$70/hour, based on experience and credentials
