Job summary

TouchPoint is hiring a part-time PATIENT SERVER in Hoffman Estates, IL to provide patient food service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, and tray delivery. You will work with nursing staff to ensure diet prescriptions are accurate and patient needs are met, while maintaining a clean, sanitary environment and adhering to HACCP guidelines and safety policies.

Days and nights shifts with rotating weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer technical skills to operate hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient food service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick-up, special requests and needs, and in-between meal food delivery.
• Exhibits a friendly, caring attitude to patients when taking menu selections, delivering trays, inquiring during catering rounds and retrieving trays.
• Interacts with nursing staff to ensure patients' diet prescriptions are accurate and patients' food needs are met.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary working environment.
• Follows HACCP guidelines and facility safety policies.
