Job summary

Macomb County Government is seeking a part-time Van Driver to safely transport individuals and goods to designated sites. The role requires pre-inspections, proper paperwork, and adherence to safety rules.

Eligible applicants must have a High School diploma or GED and a valid Michigan Chauffeur’s license with an insured vehicle for authorized travel. Prior experience transporting people or goods and serving diverse populations is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: experience transporting individuals or goods; experience with senior citizens, veterans, or individuals with a disability.

Responsibilities

• Operates a vehicle safely and legally at all times.
• Transports individuals and goods to designated sites.
• Picks up and delivers food and other items as required.
• Complete vehicle pre-inspection daily/weekly and maintain paperwork.
