Commonwealth Senior Living in Haddam, CT is seeking a part-time housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment across the community. You will follow established procedures and work four days per week on an alternating schedule, including rotating weekends.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors and carpets, laundering linens, assisting with dining and activity room setup, reporting needs to maintenance, and upholding resident privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• High school graduate or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Minimum of one year of housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping tasks following established procedures.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
• Clean floors, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing and disinfecting.
• Clean carpets, including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
• Clean and polish furnishings in hallways, stairways and elevator areas as applicable.
• Clean resident rooms and bathrooms, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, disinfecting and sanitizing.
• Collect all trash daily from rooms, offices, lounges and bathrooms.
• Maintain clean walls, windows and baseboards; keep spaces smudge-free.
• Assist in setting up dining room, activity room, and living room as necessary.
• Report repairs to maintenance or Executive Director.
• Keep equipment and storage areas clean and uncluttered; remove hazards.
• Respond to residents' needs and inform necessary personnel.
• Launder community linens as needed.
• Inform Executive Director of supply needs promptly.
• Report accidents/incidents to Executive Director on day of occurrence.
