The Arc Mid Hudson in Earlton, NY is seeking a part-time Community Habilitation Specialist to teach daily living and community integration skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will provide 1:1 support in homes and in the community, helping clients gain independence through hands-on skills such as personal hygiene, banking and basic fitness.

Hours include day, after-school, early evening and weekend shifts, totaling about 10 hours per week with starting pay

Qualifikationen

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
• Ability to work 1:1 with clients to achieve independence goals.
• Valid NYS driver's license and a reliable vehicle preferred/required per ad.

Part-time Community Habilitation Specialist - Earlton

We are seeking caring individuals for rewarding part-time, one-to-one positions, teaching daily living and community integration skills to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Community Habilitation Specialist provides support and skills training to individuals in their homes and also in community settings.

Staff will provide 1:1 assistance with everyday living skills (including but not limited to personal hygiene, banking skills, physical fitness, etc),to maintain or to develop the highest level of independence possible for them.

The staff who work for Community Habilitation should be flexible and self-motivated. Time management skills are definitely important in this position which requires a great deal of independence.

Day hours, after-school, early evening and weekend hours are available for Community Habilitation.

HOURS: (10) hours per week

STARTING SALARY: $ 20.25 to $ 22.28 per hour, with additional shift differentials as applicable
