Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a pharmacist for its Akron, OH pharmacy with occasional coverage at Canton, OH. The role supports patients, many in behavioral health, ensuring access to medications across locations.

Hours are part-time at 24 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with no weekends or holidays. Requires Ohio licensure and immunizer certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Current pharmacist license in state of Ohio.
• Certified immunizer.
• Willing to complete LAI training and administer LAI.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.

Seeking a pharmacist to perform professional duties and responsibilities associated with the processing of prescriptions. This position is based primarily at our Akron, Ohio pharmacy, and provides support at our Canton, Ohio pharmacy as needed. The ideal candidate will also be willing to provide occasional coverage at other Genoa Healthcare locations within approximately one hour of Akron when business needs arise. In this role, you will help maintain continuity of care by ensuring patients, many of whom are receiving behavioral health services, have uninterrupted access to their medications and pharmacy support across both locations

Hours:

Part-time 24 hours per week

Pharmacy hours are generally Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm / No weekends or holidays

• Portage Path Behavioral Health, 340 S Broadway St, Akron, OH
• Phoenix Rising Behavioral Health, 624 Market Ave. N., Canton, OH

Primary Responsibilities:

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Current pharmacist license in state of Ohio
• Certified immunizer
• Willing to complete LAI training and administer LAI
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation

Preferred Qualification:

• Pharmacist experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44 - $79 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
