Responsibilities

• Answer patient call signals, signal lights, bells, or intercom systems to determine patients' needs.
• Provide physical support to assist patients with daily living activities (getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet).
• Record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) as directed by medical staff.
• Gather information from caregivers, nurses, or physicians about patient condition or treatment plans.
• Observe patients for symptoms requiring medical attention (bruises, wounds, etc.).
• Document observations of patient behavior or symptoms to nurses.
