Job summary

Kindred Hospital Riverside in Perris, CA, seeks a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff and provide compassionate patient care. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, prepare rooms, and help with admissions, transfers and discharges.

Under RN supervision, you will perform routine treatments, assist with feeding, and respond promptly to calls. A HS diploma and current nursing assistant/BLS credentials are required, with at least six months of relevant

• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks and work under stress.

Responsibilities

• Assists professional nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned area.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Takes and records vital signs and measurements accurately.
• Prepares patient rooms and equipment for admissions and transfers.
• Assists in admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
• Responds to patient call lights and paging systems promptly.
• Performs routine treatments under RN direction.
• Assists with restraints under supervision and ensures proper positioning.
• Supports RN/LVN/LPN with complex patient treatments.
• Serves and removes patient meal trays and assists with feeding.
