Job summary

Prevea Health in Wisconsin is hiring a casual CMA/LPN for 16 hours per week. You will perform pre-visit planning, room patients, assist with procedures, and provide discharge instructions under supervision of a medical provider.

This role emphasizes patient comfort, accurate vital signs, documentation, injections/medications as directed, and collaboration with the provider to ensure a smooth visit. Relevant MA or LPN training required; several certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program. Required
• Minimum of 160 hours of direct patient care experience as a MA/LPN obtained through professional MA/LPN work experience or completion of student clinical rotations. Required
• Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant Preferred
• Current clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse Preferred

Responsibilities

• Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
• Coordinate provider schedules and appointment, enter orders and prepare patient charts.
• Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.
• Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards.
