Job summary

Marist University in Poughkeepsie, NY invites applications for a part-time, 9-month Head Club Cheerleading Coach. This role reports to the Assistant Athletic Director of Intramural Sports/Club Sports/Camps and coordinates all aspects of the cheer program, including recruitment, choreography, selection, practice planning, and game attendance.

The position also involves organizing team travel, ordering supplies, and working with student leadership to run club operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Valid driver's license with no serious convictions.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain these certifications).
• USA Cheer Safety and Risk Management Certification (or ability to obtain this certification).
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Attend all team practices/meetings (3-4 times per week).
• Supervise & attend team performances at home football & men's and women's basketball games.
• Coordinate cheerleading team travel and attend the Metro Conference Basketball Championships and national competitions.
• Assist student leadership in making decisions regarding club operations.
• Supervise team tryouts.
