Job summary

Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center is seeking a California-licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a part-time, variable-shift position. The role requires ASCP certification, a Bachelor’s degree in a qualifying field, and at least two years of clinical laboratory experience.

Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological health science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution required.
Minimum of two years’ clinical laboratory experience required.
Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license required.

Responsibilities

Perform waived, moderate, or highly complex tests per California statutes and CLIA, and report patient results.
Adhere to lab procedures and quality control policies; document corrective actions.
Identify and troubleshoot issues affecting test performance; escalate as needed.
Maintain instruments and equipment with regular maintenance and calibration.
Review accuracy of results prior to release; ensure appropriate age-adjusted reference ranges.
