Job summary

A global research firm in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Clinical Research Laboratory Technician to support clinical studies through laboratory tests and accurate data documentation. Qualifications

• 1–3 years of laboratory experience or diagnostic environment.
• At least 1 year of experience in clinical trials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process clinical trial specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) following study protocols.
• Perform analytical tests and assays according to established methods and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records, including data entry into Laboratory Information Management Systems.
• Ensure chain-of-custody and sample integrity during handling, storage, and shipment.
• Comply with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
• Assist in the preparation and review of laboratory documentation, such as validation reports.

Skills

Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and clinical sample handling

Knowledge of GCP and clinical research regulatory frameworks

Proficiency with data entry systems and laboratory management software

Excellent attention to detail, documentation, accuracy, and organizational skills

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Experience within DoD, VA, or other US government healthcare environments

Working knowledge of the DoD Military Health System and clinical workflows within MTFs

Experience with EHR systems such as MHS GENESIS (Cerner)

Education

Associate’s degree with relevant clinical research experience
