Job summary

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics and are Registered Dietitians with at least 1 year of clinical experience, including menu reviews for

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience (preferred).
• Experience reviewing menus for facilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments on new admissions and quarterly thereafter.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance nutrition care services and resident outcomes.
• Review and approve menu on a semi-annual basis to meet USDA guidelines.
• Conduct monthly kitchen sanitation audits and document findings.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Clinical Registered Dietitian to provide vital nutritional care through quarterly on-site visits. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dietitian seeking a flexible schedule and competitive compensation. Hours: 5-8 hours per week. One short onsite visit per week. Schedule: Flexible Compensation: $45.00-50.00 per hour depending on experience Travel Reimbursement: Paid at the same hourly rate for time traveling to and from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments on new admissions and quarterly thereafter, with more frequent reviews as needed for high-risk residents.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance nutrition care services and resident outcomes as needed.
• Review and approve menu on a semi-annual basis to ensure it meets USDA guidelines.
• Conduct monthly kitchen sanitation audits, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
• Perform other tasks as assigned and within scope of practice as needed.
• Adheres to all facility policy and procedure.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience (preferred).
• Experience with reviewing menus for facilities.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Possesses the ability to apply critical thinking to a variety of situations, assess objectives, develop and implement and monitor effective plans for improvement.
• Proficiency in providing general nutrition.
• Familiarity with state survey processes and adhering to nutrition care regulations.
