Qualifications

• Experience in utilization management, utilization review, or clinical auditing.
• Familiarity with payor requirements and level-of-care guidelines.
• Strong clinical judgment and handling escalations or adverse events.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate, defensible clinical documentation.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform prospective, concurrent, and retrospective utilization reviews.
• Apply UM criteria to evaluate documentation and support authorization/appeals.
• Monitor utilization trends and identify outliers for provider interventions.
• Partner with health plans on external UR requests and peer-to-peer reviews.
• Support quality initiatives and continuous improvement.
