Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine in Charleston, SC is seeking outstanding applicants for a part-time clinical assistant professor role in the Department of Advanced Specialty Sciences, Division of Surgical Services and Applied Technology.

Responsibilities include teaching residents, supervising clinical work, and contributing to research within MUSC.

Qualifications

• DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US or Canadian dental school.
• Completion of a CODA-approved oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program.
• Board certification or active candidacy for board certification.
• Eligibility for a SC dental license and post-offer health assessment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to relate to groups at all levels within the organization, including staff and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Teach and supervise residents in the oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program.
• Provide didactic and clinical instruction and on-call coverage.
• Participate in MUSC research programs and collaborative activities within the university community.
