Qualifications

• Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Nutrition Care: perform medical nutrition therapy and develop individualized plans.
• Education: provide nutrition guidance to patients, families, staff, and the community.
• Evidence-based practice: apply current research within hospital dietitian guidelines.
• Quality improvement: contribute to program improvements and patient outcomes.
• Collaboration: partner with food service management to meet patient satisfaction goals.
• Mentorship: support dietetic interns and junior staff where applicable.
