Job summary

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Registered Dietitian to provide quarterly on-site visits across the Bakersfield area. Flexible schedule with competitive compensation and travel reimbursement at the same hourly rate for time spent traveling.

Responsibilities include comprehensive nutritional assessments, care-plan development and monitoring, nutrition education, and participation in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience (preferred).
• Experience with reviewing menus for facilities.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to assess objectives and develop/monitor improvement plans.
• Familiarity with state survey processes and adhering to nutrition care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments on new admissions and quarterly thereafter; review as needed for high-risk residents.
• Develop, implement, and monitor nutrition care plans.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance nutrition care and resident outcomes.
• Review and approve menu on a semi-annual basis to ensure USDA guidelines are met.
• Conduct monthly kitchen sanitation audits and document findings with corrective actions.
