Qualifications

• DDS or DMD with academic preparation aligned to ADA accreditation standards.
• Experience in clinical dentistry and teaching/education methods.
• Ability to teach laboratory/clinical instruction to students.
• Current North Carolina Dental License and required immunizations, OSHA, HIPAA, CPR.

Responsibilities

• Provide laboratory and/or clinical instruction to students.
• Review patient histories and refer for physician approval when needed.
• Evaluate patient charts, occlusion, and radiographs for treatment needs.
• Grade student performance and provide remediation as needed.
• Administer local anesthesia and supervise its administration by students.
• Document interactions and assist during medical emergencies.
• Collaborate with lead instructors on course development and assessment.
• Attend clinical faculty and calibration meetings.
