Job summary

Penn State Harrisburg's School of Science, Engineering, and Technology invites applications for a part‑time faculty opening in its Civil Engineering & Technology programs effective August 2026.

The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering areas including Structural, Environmental, Water Resources, Transportation, and Construction, as well as Statics, Mechanics of Materials, Surveying, and Graphic Communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: MS degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline and relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ph.D. degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• T teach undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering areas such as Structural, Environmental, Water Resources, Transportation, and Construction.
• Teach Statics and Mechanics of Materials.
• Teach Surveying and Graphic Communications.
• Prepare and deliver lectures, assignments, and assessments.
• Engage in student mentoring, advising, and program development.
