Job summary

The City of Leander seeks a part-time Bus Driver to transport participants to and from a variety of activities and events. You will work under moderate supervision, using standard procedures and independent judgment to ensure safe, timely service.

Responsibilities include assisting with trip supervision, check-ins, and safety inspections, while maintaining excellent customer service and adherence to licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must meet criteria of an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to communicate clearly with participants and supervisor.
• Commitment to safety and customer service while transporting program participants.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required licenses and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to program participants to/from activities, field trips, and events.
• Assist Active Adult Coordinator with trip supervision and participant check-ins.
• Help passengers on/off vehicle and manage loading/unloading.
• Maintain group headcount and assist with behavior during trips.
• Coordinate with service providers for vehicle repairs and safety inspections.
